Secret Behind Burger King's Taste

Have you eaten at Burger King? I have when I was in the US. I loved their food. One of my cousins ate nothing but their BK BIG FISH twice a day for at least a year (he couldn't wake up early enough for breakfast). I have myself consumed their fish sandwitche a number of times. They were delicious indeed. Well, today I found out why they were so good.

They were fried alongside pork.

Ouch! That hit hard.

Here is what their website says:
These products are fried in a shared fryer: Pork Sausage, Pork Fritter, TENDERSCISP Chicken, CHICKEN TENDERS, BK Chicken Fries, Original Chicken Patty, BK BIG FISH, Hashbrowns, French Toast Sticks, French Toast Rounds, Onion Rings, and CHEESY TOTS.

So next time you go out for a fast food, choose Taco Bell instead. Until of course you learn about their secret as well.

Statement on BK website (requires Acrobat).
Snapshot of the statement.

Note: It is probably safe to assume that this issue is not valid in Muslim countries (or so I hope).

[thanks for the info, Hassaan]
